XpressWay is part of a family owned and operated business started in 1955 by two brothers, Bob and Bill Gotwals. The business started as a dairy farm in the small picturesque farming town of Oley - just outside of Reading, PA. Within a few years they entered the trucking business by purchasing a tractor and trailer to haul hogs. From those beginnings the company has grown to include two trucking divisions, Brook Ledge Horse Transportation and XpressWay Freight Transportation.
Over the years a full maintenance shop and office building were added to the premises to accommodate the growing business. Most of the operations continue to operate out of the original farm. In addition, the family connection continues to drive the company. Bill's son Brad manages Brook Ledge while Bob's son Brent manages XpressWay. Two other family members also remain actively involved in company operations.
XpressWay's sister company, Brook Ledge, is one of the largest horse carriers on the east coast. It specializes in hauling thoroughbred, standard bred and show horses throughout the US and Canada. In addition to the main dispatch operations in Oley, Brook Ledge has additional terminals in Lexington, Kentucky and Ocala, Florida.

XpressWay hauls general commodity truckload dry van freight within a 200 mile radius of Reading, PA. Our primary service areas include eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, southeastern New York and Long Island.
